Iron Bowl, Hunting, Auburn & Baby Jesus

We thought Fall was crazy, then Christmas time hits! From here on out there is something not everyweekend but everday!

First we start out with a sad thing......the Iron Bowl. UGH! My Daddy said he wasnt even gonna watch, I should have done the same thing. We went to Lakeland to watch the game at Matt's Mother's house because her parents were down. I have mentioned before that Matt's Papa is the reason he loves Alabama. So I had to watch the game with a bunch of Alabama fans. It wasnt that bad but there was this annoying Alabama fan I wanted to hit in the face......my husband! And to make it worse, he does this to my sweet baby boy.......

He puts him in Alabama clothes! I just have to remember that little boys want to be like their Daddys.

The following weekend Parker stayed in Lakeland. Matt & I had a whole "date" weekend. First I got him to try sushi, that is a HUGE thing for Matt. He doesn`t like anything, and he did like this. Then Saturday morning we woke up at 5:30am and went hunting on the ranch. This was my first time hunting, we didn`t kill anything but I had a great time with my hubby!

The double tree stand we sat in. It is actually my brother-in-laws, Matt's is just a single. It was not bad at all but the mosquitoes! I was trying so hard not to move around but they were every where! It was peaceful and I`m ready for the next time we get to do that together again.

We didn`t see anything after sitting there about 2 hours, so we started walking.

We did see some does BUT it wasn`t doe season anymore.

When driving back to the house we saw a new born calf. It wasn`t scared so it let Matt walk right up to it. I keep asking, "where is his Mommy?". That is the bad thing about living on a ranch, always worrying about the cows. All I kept thinking about was Parker wondering around by himself!

Saturday night we had another baby shower for Brannan, Tim & Auburn. This one had a great theme, AUBURN!

Sunday night Mr. Parker had a big role to play, Baby Jesus! Parker was the 4th generation that has been in the Christmas pageant at our church. This is the first time this has happened! The pageant has not changed from even when my grandmother was in it. All this just makes my heart happy: God, Christmas, family & tradition!

He just comes out at the end when he is suppose to be born. He did such a great job, he was happy the whole time!

I was on the side through just in case we had to snatch him up.

Football & Girls

Sorry I have been MIA, but that is the life of a new Mom! I`m getting things more together but now I am studying to take the K-6 Subject Area Test. I`m a little nervous because I haven`t been in school since  2008! When I first went to college I was going to major in Education, BUT someone talked me out of it. So I graduated with a Business Management Degree. Now I have to take the test & take a little extra college classes. It is a little annoying, but I really want to be a teacher. So pray for me!

Right now this is a subject that is talked about everyday! College Football starts next weekend! If you didn`t know my husband is an Alabama Fan & I am an Auburn Fan. The trash talking has already started! No, we most likely will not be good because 1. Cam & Nick are gone 2. A handful of starters are returning. But that is fine! There really is just one game that matters, but we have awhile till then.

Now my husband would say he is making that face because what he is wearing. But I just think it is too funny!

Little Man is getting chubbier & is finally smiling! When it is 3am, I`m half asleep & then he smiles at me. That is the best thing!

My 2nd oldest sister Brannan is pregnant. They had a party at my parents house the day they found out if they were having a girl or a boy. We were suppose to wear pink or something Auburn if we thought it was a girl and blue or something Gators if we thought it was a boy.

Miss Finley is crazy about Parker & Maysen. She doesn`t care what the baby is, as long as it is baby!

Parker wore something blue because he thought it was a boy. Actually we ALL thought it was a boy. I was really hoping it was so Parker would have a cousin his age that was a boy.

But it s a girl!!! Auburn Aline Lawson, she will be just  as pretty as my other two nieces! So Parker will be smack in the middle of 3 girl cousins, poor guy. But we are super excited for another little girl in the family!

A Different Kind of Church.....

First off WAR EAGLE : ) Last night was the opening game of college football & we won. Matt went to a friends house to watch another game (Matt is an Alabama fan...it's his only downfall). So I stayed at the house by myself & watched the game. I decided to go over there at half time & we were going to flip between the Auburn game & the UNC game. WELL I get there & 2 fumbles & a touchdown by Arkansas State made me leave! It was bad luck for me to be there! So I went BACK home to watch the game by myself, that way I can yell & I don`t feel so stupid haha.

Now to my post! A cold front came through here yesterday, the weather is perfect! So when I woke up this morning to get ready for church the temp. was 55degrees outside & sunny! So I decided to play hooky & have a different kind of church service.

I grabbed my Bible, Ipod, coffee & a slice of Apple Bread & headed outside. I turned on some Third Day & Chris Tomlin, ate my breakfast, had my coffee, & just listened.

When I lean my head back in my chair this is my view. For me, trees & the sky are like my comfort of God. Look at that.....there is no way God didn`t make that. It is so pretty & peaceful. So I sat prayed & read my Bible. I`m not saying it is okay to skip Church, but I think I needed this morning. I have such a renewed spirit I feel like. Just sitting there in God's beautiful creation. There was a little breeze blowing through too, I`m telling you it was perfect. I really felt God there with me.

BUT another church member kept bothering me! haha She wanted me to pet her.

And the Count Down Begins......

Matthew will be home in 8 days.....well in 10 minutes it will be 7 days (1 week)! I can`t even explain it to you how I feel. We have not seen each other in 8 MONTHS! We have been together 4 years & going 8 months without seeing him is killing me! Going from everyday to nothing, yeah it sucks, take my word for it. 8 months with out kissing & other married people stuff (wink wink), I hope I`m still good lol. I feel like I might be alittle rusty, but I`m sure we can pick up where we left off! Sorry yall I`m married & love my husband, I`m allowed to talk about it ; )

This week is gonna be the LONGEST week of my life (add only getting on Facebook once a week), I`m gonna be NUTS! So I have decided to blog about favorite memories I have about Matthew. I know yall are on the edge of your seats for this haha. But I got to kill time some how!
