A Pillow, a Wagon & a Bucket

I`m officially now a "working mom".....well kind of. I started subbing the week before and I really do like it. Now I do not like leaving my son & the night before the first day leaving him I was balling my eyes out. My husband reminded me that I won`t be working everyday so it really isn't that bad. I really do enjoy it & I hope one day to have a class of my own, but for now subbing will do.

The Pillow....Parker really is sitting up all by himself now. He does fall back every now & then. This week he started "soft" falling to the side so we are getting better. So, the pillow is still there just in case.

A wagon......the other weekend we headed up to North Florida to see Matt's Grandmother (aka Butter) be honored at their local school's homecoming for teaching 35 years (I might be off on the years). Matt & I both love going up there. It is a 6 hour drive so we don`t get to go as much as we like.

A Bucket.......last weekend I headed over to my parents to lay out by the pool. It was nice & warm outside but the water in the pool isn`t quite warm enough. So we put some water in a bucket, threw in some toys & let Parker go to town.

Well I have been horrible with his watch me grow pictures. He is now 7 months & I still haven`t taken his 5 months. So we are just going to toss that one off as a loss! So I`ll just update yall now. At Parker's six month check up he was 28 1/2 in. & 22.6 lbs. He is off the chart on both his height & weight. My baby is huge! We measured him the other day because once they hit 30 lbs or 30 in. they should move up to the next car seat. Parker is 30/ 31 inches! Thank goodness Matt's mother bought us his big boy seat already so it is going in the car this week. Sometimes I wonder if they gave me the right baby when I left the hospital!

The Gukich/Turner/Lawson/Williams/Brown Family Photos

This past Sunday Ginger Unzueta came & took some (well actually a ton) photos of the family. She just posted on her blog some (well actually a ton) of the photos. I think they all turned out great & I can't wait to get them framed & on my wall! If you are looking for someone to take your photo, Ginger does great! Here is the link to her blog:

Tis' the Season

I`m a month behind on posting, again. So get ready for an over load on photos! December went by so fast. People say when you have kids, time goes by faster, and it does! Parker is now 6 months old! Now, this post is all over the place, so get ready!

Here are some random photos of Parker.

Baby blue eyes <3
Parker Laughing
Parker thinks Matt is so funny. He loves when Matt lays with him and plays.
Daddy & Parker sleeping
And then they crashed. So sweet.

We had a cookie/bake goods swap with my sisters & parents at Brannan's & Tim's.
Christmas tree cake pop
There were so many sweets that night! But I only snapped a few photos of things. These were Hayley's & Justin's cake pop Christmas trees.
Parker & Maysen
Maysen was trying hard to make Parker hold her hand.
Always sleeping
At almost all family get togethers, this is what my father does.
Always getting into something
Miss Finley checking out the tree
Always sucking this thumb or finger
Parker as always, got his hand in his mouth.
Always yelling
I assume she was talking, but I snapped the photo at just the right moment!

Nene & Poppy (my parents) bought Parker this "Jump & Go" for Christmas. He LOVES it. This is the first time when I put him in it. Matt & I were cracking up just watching him in it. He bites that bar the whole time too.
Jump & Go

Now, I love taking photos. I am not a pro or anything close to it. But I have been trying to read up on natural lighting. I am still learning all my settings and when it is a good time to take photos. There is a lot to it & I`m no where close to having it down. But I took Parker outside for some practice.

See those blue eyes! I love them! I always wanted blue eyes, so for my child to have them is great!
Bama
Bama got in on the fun.

If drool grosses you out, sorry. My son is the king of it!
Allie
Miss Allie  wanted a photo too.

The next photo is my favorite! I stuck my glasses on him & had Matt snap this. I was crying from laughing so hard.
Mr. Parker

In all the craziness of December, I got another niece! Miss Auburn Aline Lawson! She was actually born on Ambrey's Birthday. Brannan & Tim are so happy to finally have their little girl here. She is super cute & has lots of dark hair!

Finally Christmas! This was a fun Christmas since it was Parker's first. I know from here on out they are going to be even better!
The Browns
We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We went to the Christmas Eve service at our church.Colton, Finley, Maysen, Nene, Parker & Grady
Nene & all the grandkids (Colton, Finley, Nene holding Maysen & Parker, & Grady).
What up!
Afterwards everyone went over to Ambrey's & Chad's for dinner & some sweets. The guys built a fire & the kids opened some presents. Yes my son is sitting in a pink bumbo. With have girl cousins closer to his age, it happens.
Christmas morning before Parker woke up
We did Christmas morning with our own little family. The tree after Santa came before Parker woke up.
Merry Christmas!
The stink never sleeps in and that morning he decided to! Finally I think at 8am he got up. Sorry for the blurriness (if that is a word?). The child is hardly still enough to get photos of!
Daddy & Parker

Shirt I made him
We then went to Lakeland to eat lunch with Matt's Mom & then dinner with Matt's Dad. Parker in his Christmas shirt I made him.

Sleeping in his swing
Matt's Mom & her husband Bill got Parker a swing for their house. He ended up falling asleep in it for  30 minutes! The mark on his forehead isn`t a scratch, it is lipstick from his Mamaw kissing him. Matt's Dad got Parker a highchair which I`m pretty sure I was the most excited about!

On January 26, I have to take the Sub Orientation Class. After that I am going to start subbing for our local school system. I`m hoping I can gain some experience & hopefully next school year I can get a job. Parker will be 7 months when I start. It is good/bad though. I had 7 months to be with him but I feel like it makes it harder on me though. I`m really nervous because 1. Leaving him for the first time 2. Doing something I haven`t ever done before. I`m excited to get in there & start leaning the ways of a classroom but really nervous. Also, a couple months ago, we put a bid in on a short sale. Things are moving a long pretty good but you just never know. I`m really excited but I`m trying to not let my mind get away from me. I`m so ready to pick our paint, floors, appliances & etc. I have to remember the Lord has a plan with all this: a job & a house. I just have to put it on Him & keep praying!

I hope yall had a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!
